Freaky, Fring-a-linga Friday is upon us once again and as we do on a Friday, we bring you nothing but music and the best artists in the land.
I pray to kick off the show and, we especially, want to keep the families of the flash flood victims in Johannesburg in our prayers following the tragic events of this past week.
I found myself being rather emotionally affected, simply because I was thinking to myself, these people were just trying to make their way home to their families and had no idea what it is that was about to befall them. I hope that everyone affected can find peace and the strength to move on from this.
Back to today, our first guests, DJs and producers, the Rhythm Sessions joined us to talk about their show, their sessions as well as… They say they feel honoured to be interviewed by The Arch, after having been fans of his from back in the day when he was on YFM.
They stay with us until 7 o’clock when we gear up for our next guests, the Ambitiouz Entertainment crew.
They run late and only manage to join us in the last half hour but when they get here, they bring the heat and shut it down. Saudi, A-Reece, Sjava, B3nchmarq and Fifi Cooper made the studio smaller with their big star power.
I love how you can truly feel the love among them. You can tell that they arent a manufactured crew but rather a crew that believes in each other and has each other’s backs and prays for nothing but each other’s individual success.
Each of them rap and sing over their individual songs and then jump onto their collaborative smash-hit, Ameni and the studio went wild.
DJ Black Coffee was supposed to join us but couldn’t make it, so we’ll have him on at another time to shut down our FREAKY FRIDAY IN TRUE DJ SBU BREAKFAST STYLE.
We’re off for now. We’ll catch you again on Monday, at 6AM, on VUMA and RISE FM. It’s 2 Stations. 1 Man. 1 Mic. Breakfast.
