Welcome to Throw Back Thursday on the #DJSbuBreakfast. As you know today we roll back the years and play you some of the biggest hits of years gone by, and we never disappoint. It’s also Hustler’ Corner today and we’re joined by funny man Tol Ass Mo, who’s actually co-hosting the show with Dj Sbu this morning. Here’s one brother who has grown significantly in his career over the last few years, and has bagged some big television shows along the way including hosting the latest edition of etv’ SA’ Got Talent.

He says he’s an artist and doesn’t believe in boxing himself only to comedy. “Art can’t be contained in one form” he says, and if it takes him to music that’s what he’ll do. He owns his own production company which boasts shows like Jozi A-Listers, You Got Got, as well as his own reality show Mo Love. He also makes music believe it or not. His latest track is called Shugadibang and I’m no expert but I think hop-hop heads like Azizzar might like it. Mo is intrinsically an entrepreneur, with his grandfather having groomed him from an early age owning the iconic Mathole Cinema, a shopping centre, and a night club in Tembisa back in the day.

Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan delivered his mid-term budget policy statement, and all eyes were on this one. Azizzar spoke to political economist Daniel Silke about the speech, who says the minister cemented himself as a vital cog in the economic recovery of the country despite the turmoil surrounding him at this present moment. He does however feel that the warning from Gordhan about budget shortfalls and that taxes might increase next year will definitely make the country feel a bit uneasy about this going into the next financial year. Chief economist Dawie Roodt says the country’s economy is under intense pressure and we are in “deep trouble”. This is not good news for all those like ourselves who are aiming to start our own businesses in the near future, but we do home things turn around sooner rather than later.

In between the music in the last hour of the show, our guest Tol Ass Mo decided it’s time to take a swipe at me on air. All in good fun though and I did enjoy his presence today. Tomorrow we are having a belter of a show as always on Fridays, and you didn’t hear this from me but I heard a certain #FillUpOrlandoStadium mastermind Casper Nyovest will be in the house. So let’s meet again on the airwaves at 6am.
